Wam Wamz: Citrus Powerhouse Built for the Pacific Northwest
Lineage: Forbidden Fruit x Lambrusco
Location: Outdoor, Indoor
Type: Hybrid
Flowering: 49–63 Days, End of September to Early October Outdoors at the 45th Latitude
The Wam Wamz strain is a standout hybrid created from combining Forbidden Fruit with Lambrusco. The result is a vigorous, early-finishing plant known for its striking purple coloration, loud citrus terp profiles, and exceptional outdoor performance in the Pacific Northwest. Most phenotypes lean toward Tangie-style expressions with sweet orange zest, heavy citrus peel aromas, and rich orange terpenes that fill the room immediately after cracking a jar.
Wam Wamz was selected during a large outdoor pheno hunt where hundreds of plants and dozens of different cultivars were being tested side by side in the field. Even among all that competition, Wam Wamz immediately stood out. It had the kind of presence that naturally pulls attention. The vigor was obvious early on, the flowering time came fast, and the terp profile carried loudly through the field before harvest even began.
The strain blended the best qualities from both parents perfectly. The Forbidden Fruit side brought vibrant citrus terpenes and colorful purple expressions, while the Lambrusco side added structure, vigor, mold resistance, and outdoor reliability. Together they created what breeders often call a “love child cross,” where the offspring fully expresses the strongest qualities from both parents rather than leaning too heavily one direction.
