Lambrusco: Loud Candy Terps Built for the Pacific Northwest
The Lambrusco strain was bred to combine loud candy terps, strong potency, colorful purple fades, and outdoor performance into one unique cultivar. The growing conditions in the Pacific Northwest near Portland, Oregon at the 45th latitude can be difficult for cannabis cultivation because of the cool temperatures and wet fall weather. Many strains simply do not finish early enough outdoors or they struggle with bud mold once the rains arrive. The goal with Lambrusco was to create a strain with elite modern terp profiles while still maintaining the vigor, structure, and mold resistance needed for outdoor production.
Lambrusco was bred to finish early while producing extremely loud sour candy terps. The plant structure was selected to handle outdoor conditions with strong branching, vigorous growth, and dense but well-stacked buds that allow airflow through the canopy. Many of the phenotypes fade into deep shades of red and purple late in flower which is where the strain gets the name “Lambrusco,” inspired by the rich color of Lambrusco wine.
